Dr Brad McKay

Dr Brad McKay (“Dr Brad”) is an Australian science communicator, TV host, and Podcaster who works as a GP at his clinic in Darlinghurst, Sydney.

He’s an experienced broadcaster, interviewer, MC, and public commentator. He appears regularly on Australian TV and Radio, including The Today Show (Channel 9), ABC News, ABC Radio, triple J, Triple M, 3AW, and 6PR. He presents regularly on the podcast ‘Drivetime Medical’, and hosts ‘HIV in Podcast’, an educational podcast series for health professionals about HIV and sexual health.

In 2013 he hosted the Logie-nominated television program ‘Embarrassing Bodies Down Under’ (Foxtel/Channel 9), a show dedicated to decrease stigma and increase awareness of traditionally ‘taboo’ health topics.

As an early achiever, he started studying medicine when he was only 16 years old and was working as a doctor by 21. He has worked in Aboriginal communities in Australia, overseas in Ireland, and as a GP in Melbourne and Sydney. 

He’s an Ambassador for the Immunisation Coalition, the Immunisation Foundation, and the Stroke Foundation.
